What to expect.

Accommodation

You will be hosted by the local project leaders who are part of the School of Elevation.
These are the same people we train, mentor and work with daily.

You are in trusted hands.
You are never alone.
You move with the community, not as a tourist.

Example itinerary

7 Days / 6 Nights


Day 1 – Arrival at Wawa Sumaco

Arrive in Tena or Coca and travel to the lodge. Welcome ceremony with the Kichwa community and traditional dinner.


Day 2 – Forest Walk and Plant Wisdom

Guided walk through the forest to learn about medicinal plants. Afternoon cooking session with the women’s cooperative.


Day 3 – Crafting with Nature

Workshop on weaving or pottery using natural materials. River swim and rest. Evening storytelling around the fire.


Day 4 – Waterfalls and Ceremony

Visit nearby waterfalls and take part in an ancestral cleansing ritual led by local elders.


Day 5 – Cultural Exchange

Join a lesson on Kichwa language and traditions. Help prepare a communal meal. Share songs or stories from your own culture.


Day 6 – Reflection and Creation

Design your own handmade souvenir using what you’ve learned. Closing circle and dinner with the community.


Day 7 – Departure

Breakfast with hosts and return transfer to Tena or Coca.
