Be part of the full experience

By joining our experience  in Colombia you are both funding and transforming yourself through the art of doing. Discover San Basilio de Palenque - where the past meets the present, and the beauty of our cultural heritage is celebrated every day.

Our approach is to empower and elevate the community by putting them in charge of the project. We work closely with them throughout the year to understand their vision and needs, and provide support, advice. And through our experiences we fund and work alongside them to bring it to fruition.

By having both the funds and the volunteers on the ground, we can ensure that the project is carried out effectively and efficiently. Plus, the fact that you will be learning and sharing skills and experiences with the local community adds an extra dimension to the project, making it not just a one-way flow of resources, but a reciprocal exchange of knowledge and culture.

We have a big picture for each community project we run, then we break them down into phases. This experience is phase 1, which means £800 of your trip fee directly contributes to the creation of an IT hub in the local secondary school. With your help we are setting up an IT hub and providing free WIFI to 300 students during the day. This IT hub will double up to cater as an adult learning hub in the evenings where adults can become computer literate and pursue free online courses that matches their talents and sparks their passion.

Eco Toursim & Culture

  • Establish and promote sustainable tourism initiatives that will provide long-term benefits for the community and help to ensure that the history and culture of San Basilio de Palenque are celebrated and shared with the world.

  • Plant medicine

  • By focusing on sports and physical activity, we can provide women with a supportive and inclusive environment where they can develop their skills and build confidence.

Regenerative farming:

  • There have been agricultural initiatives in the past that had the potential to succeed but fell short due to a lack of mentorship and support. By providing mentorship and resources to these projects, we can help to ensure that they have the support they need to thrive and become sustainable over the long term.
